1994 - 1999 : The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies, Ph.D.  Subject of Ph.D. Thesis: “Marginal People in the Ottoman City: The Case of Thessaloniki during the Eighteenth Century.”  Dissertation approved in June 1999.
